Carrick Hill and the Art Gallery of South Australia are proud to co-present a solo exhibition of mid-career South Australian artist Bridget Currie.

In each one a world Currie exhibits a suite of objects and prints that respond to her research relating to the historic house and gardens at Carrick Hill. Currie’s practice foregrounds embodied states that call attention to materiality, with the artist interested in bringing the invisible, internal aspects of experience into the external physical world. The exhibition offers visitors a multifaceted experience, with Currie’s poetic and allusive works responding to Carrick Hill’s house and garden in a range of media – from an immersive wall-papered room, to sound recordings embedded in sculpture, printmaking, and recordings. Part of the Nature Festival, in each one a world Currie explores the imagery and significance of grass, inviting the visitor to enter an embodied state of awareness in the presence of works and in the natural environment at Carrick Hill. It does this through a rich offering of programs – from a sunrise walk to tactile tours of Currie’s sculpture.
