Carrick Hill is preparing two major exhibitions that will bring art, design, and South Australian history to life in compelling new ways.
A highlight is a fresh interpretation of William Morris across Carrick Hill. This activation will expand William Morris's presence through out the house, introduce a dedicated showcase space and use innovative technology to create immersive large scale William Morris illuminations.
We are also preparing an exciting new exhibition will celebrate the “Hayward years” of John Martin's, focusing on the golden era -the years when Sir Edward Hayward ran the iconic South Australian Department stores.
In 1933, he created the Christmas Pagaent and the exhibition will include some very special characters including Nipper and Nimble and more! The exhibition will capture the spirit of a defining period in South Australia’s cultural and retail history.
These ambitious projects will create new opportunities for audiences of all ages to connect with the stories, creativity and legacy of Carrick Hill.
We are currently seeking philanthropic support to help realise these exhibitions and bring these stories to life for our community and future generations.
Please make your tax deductable donation today and help bring these ambitious projects and stories to life.
